Malfunction can be deadly like if a wire broke. Some things that can happen are if they delay the flight. If the weather is bad, like there are thunder storms, heavy rain, strong winds, snow and icing, than there is a chance of malfunction. Other things that might happen are like runway accidents or accidents even in the air! It is hard to believe that there may be terrorism and passengers that sneak in. More things are that the pilot may have bad communication.
