..........FIVE, FIVE, FIVE FRUITS AND VEGETABLES----- OH! Your back! Fruits and vegetables give us what we need so that our bodies are strong and healthy!

Here are five ways you can get your five a day!
1. Grab an apple, orange, banana, pear, or other piece of portable fruit to eat on-the-go.
2. Snack on raw veggies like baby carrots, pepper strips, broccoli, and celery.
3. Add strawberries, blueberries, bananas and other brightly colored fruits-fresh, frozen, or canned to your waffles, pancakes, or toast.
4. Stash bags of dried fruit in your car and at your desk for a convenient snack.
5. Have Mom stir fresh or frozen vegetables into your pasta, noodles, or omelet.

We have a special coloring book for everyone that talks about fun five and gives you more ideas and ways to better your nutrition. There is even a heart that you can color and cut out to give to your loved one to encourage them to get their five a day!
So Nuuanu, make sure you have your five servings of fruits and vegetables a day! There is another Five that is very important and we will explore that next time!
Until then Nuuanu, Beeeeeee Healthy!
