This broadcast is directed by GageM. My name is:Sydnie Sambueno., from room G-1 and
today is Friday April 29. This is the 17th broadcast of the 2010-2011 school year! Our technology service club members are actually making the prizes for the question of the day.

(Anchor #2:) Hello Girls and Boys! My name is Mina Suzukawa., from room G-2. All correct answers submitted by Lotus Notes will get a balloon prize for your class. Here is the question : How many cranes did the school make?, I repeat How many cranes did the school make? Teachers, please send in your Lotus Notes answers to NTV.

(Anchor #2): There are many students from grades 2 - 5 reading KidBiz. Race Sterenberg from G-1 won the raffle for the Literacy contest. He won an ipod shuffle & a $50 Amazon Gift Card. Congratulations.

(Anchor #1:) The final count is in. Nuuanu Elementary donated 3800 cranes for the "Cranes for Kids" program. Thank you everyone! Like you, Nuuanu Elementary School students have been touched by the plight of the thousands of children who have been affected by the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan. We wanted to find a way to empower kids to help children in need by using their creativity.


Anchor #2: In Japanese culture, cranes are a powerful symbol of health and well-wishes. In fact, the Japanese people believe that anyone who makes 1,000 origami cranes will have a wish granted. While we can't grant every wish, we can make a difference. Let’s see the video.
