I understand that the NTSC will be doing technology related activities to assist in serving the needs of the school. I would like to be a part of this organization and agree to the following rules:
1. My continued participation will depend on my performance in technology as well as leadership and teamwork.
2. I agree to keep up with my school work and cooperate in class at all times.
3. I agree to serve as an example to the rest of the students in abiding by the school rules, AUP, and regulations.
4. I agree to respect and be courteous to students, teachers, other school personnel and community people.
5. I agree to respect my technology advisors and leaders and carry out their instructions and my responsibilities to the best of my ability.
6. I agree to always be alert and not "horse" around or talk unnecessarily.
7. I agree to attend all meetings, including the extended meetings.
8. I agree to be at the technology meetings promptly.
9. I agree to give up recesses for technology training and learning during my broadcast week. I agree to be in the library by 7:45a.m. on the day of my broadcast.
10. I agree to use with care and be respectful of the technology equipment and software.

Dear Parents,
We are pleased to offer your child the opportunity to participate in the Nuuanu Technology Service Club during the 2009-2010 School Year.
This school service program trains its members to assist the students, teachers, staff, and community of Nuuanu Elementary School in activities related to technology.
Some activities include:
- Learning video production, multimedia, & telecommunications
- Learning and creating a web page
- Trouble shooting and maintaining school technologies
- Assisting in a school-wide effort of training information technology users (trainer of trainer model)
- Maintaining equipment, books, and software in good, working condition.
If your child has permission to participate in the Nuuanu Technology Service Club, please sign the attach form and have your child to return it to Mrs. Sheu by Friday, May 8, 2009

Article I - Name
The name of this organization shall be Nuuanu Technology Service Club.
Article II - Purpose
1. To create an interest in technology and its role in society.
2. To prepare students to deal effectively with an increasing information-based society.
3. Encourage members to participate in service to the community and school.
4. Develop character, prepare for useful citizenship, and leadership.
Article III - Membership
1. Membership shall consist of students of Nuuanu Elementary School.
2. To obtain membership, a recommendation from the classroom teachers is made to the screening committee. The screening committee makes the final decision on selection.
3. The members of the screening committee, or the classroom teacher have the right to terminate any membership in the club, due to a member's bad standings.
Article IV - Members
1. Members will have the privilege of presenting ideas or suggestions to the club.
2. Members will have voting privileges on any club activity.
3. The majority of the members' votes will decide whether or not an issue shall be passed.
4. Each member will be given the privilege of one vote.
Article V - Meetings
1. Meetings will be held on Wednesday from 12:45-1:30pm. The calendar will be set according to the school calendar.
2. Excused absences from meetings will be determined by an advisor.
