Language Arts Enrichment |
The Language Arts Enrichment Program recognizes the need to provide a differentiated program for students in Grades 3-5 who have been identified as having above average ability in language arts and demonstrate creativity and a commitment to task.

Guidance and Counseling |
Guidance and Counseling is a part of our daily school program and classroom instruction. Additional services from the school’s counselor are available to students, parents and teachers. When special and additional support services are needed, the Student Services Coordinator (SSC) is available to coordinate various related and support services provided by the Department of Education and Department of Health.

Primary School Adjustment Program (PSAP) |
The Primary School Adjustment Program (PSAP) is a preventative behavioral health project designed to supplement the educational experience and personal development of students. The mission of PSAP is to provide encouragement and support services to young children with social, emotional or behavioral difficulties to help each child function more effectively in the classroom and community.

Nu'uanu Technology Club |
The Nu'uanu Technology Club is a cocurricular program designed for students with an interest in the uses of technology and its role in society. It prepares students to deal with an increasing information-based society and encourages its members to participate in providing technology services to the school and the community.

Peer Mediation |
The student peer mediation program includes selected students in grades 4-5 who receive training to mediate conflicts in the school. Student mediators are trained to listen carefully to the dispute and help to find a fair way to solve conflicts when students are not able to solve them by themselves.

Student Council |
The Student Council was organized to provide opportunities for students in grades 4-5 to participate in activities that build leadership, responsibility and a sense of participation in the community and school.
There are four elected officers: President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. These officers provide the core leadership with the assistance of two representatives from each classroom in grades 4-5. Third grade representatives are asked to join in the second semester. |
School Safety Officers (SSO) |
The mission of the School Safety Officers (SSO) program is to assist with the traffic safety of students and parents on a daily basis both before and after school.
